Local to the Valley. Serving all of Southern California.
Lutzke Merchant Services is local to the San Fernando Valley, where in-person statement reviews are available. Everywhere else in Southern California, from Ventura County down to San Diego, the same review happens by phone, video, and email.
What to look for on a SoCal processing statement.
Every business is different, but these are the patterns worth checking first.
Remote-first review
Phone, video, and email. Same review, same plain-language walkthrough, same direct contact. In-person meetings outside the Valley are by arrangement.
Visitor & premium cards
Businesses that serve visitors often see more international and rewards cards, which generally cost more to accept.
Seasonal swings
If you’re seasonal, send two or three months so the effective rate reflects a slow month too.
How a remote review works
You email one recent statement (two or three if your business is seasonal). Drew calculates your effective rate, breaks down every fee in plain language, identifies your pricing model, and compares Traditional, Split Cash Discount, and Full Cash Discount using your numbers. Then you meet by phone or video to walk through it, with the numbers on screen. There’s no obligation and nothing to sign.
If your area has its own page, it covers the local business mix and the cost patterns worth checking first. If it doesn’t, the review works exactly the same way. California’s cash discount and surcharge rules apply statewide, and processing is powered by PaybotX, subject to underwriting and approval.
Send one recent statement. Get your effective rate, a line-by-line fee breakdown, and Traditional, Split, and Full Cash Discount compared with your numbers. No cost, no obligation.
Lower It, Share It, or Shift It in SoCal.
Starting points, not rules. The right answer depends on your statement, your customers, and your goals.
Lower It = Traditional (lower your costs) · Share It = Split Cash Discount (share the cost) · Shift It = Full Cash Discount (maximize your savings).
Compare the three structures| Business type | Common starting point |
|---|---|
| Any business type | The same three structures apply; the review shows which fits. |
| Seasonal businesses | Send several months of statements. |
| Multi-location | Each location’s statement can be reviewed. |
| Medical | Usually Lower It. |
Same review. Same direct contact.
In-person statement reviews are available locally in the San Fernando Valley area. Elsewhere in Southern California, the review is done by phone, video, and email, and in-person meetings are by arrangement.
California rules apply here too. Under a cash discount program, customers who pay by card see a non-cash adjustment (the posted card price), and customers who pay cash receive a discount. Cash discount and surcharge programs are subject to card-brand rules and California law (including Cal. Civ. Code §1748.1 and the state’s Honest Pricing Law). A compliance review is recommended before any program goes live. This isn’t legal advice.
